Dance a GoGo Slips The Ankle Boot On

So you're going out on the town, or just dressing up for work and wearing high heels is too uncomfortable to stand around in... Well, Dance a GoGo has the solution.

Slip on the very classy and comfortable ankle boot. High enough to give you some height, low enough to show off your fabulous legs, and they give you enough coverage so you can still wear some comfy cozy socks.

Walking around, you'll see that ankle boots are just about everywhere. They're the comfy high heel substitute.

In fact, I'm wearing my pair of ankle boots now. They're a sleek black color with a petite heel and they only cost me $6 bucks at a thrift store. I've been walking and standing in them all day and my feet don't hurt a bit. As dancers, the Dance a GoGo ladies appreciate a stylish shoe that keeps us complaint free and still up to fashion par.

Some ankle boots have large fold over flaps, and some have a simple ankle cut. They can be a solid color or decked out in jewels and different fabrics, it's really your choice.

We guarantee that if you find the right pair of ankle boots for you, you'll be dancing all night long. Maybe you'll even sport them at the dance studio.

The ankle boot style was IN as far back as the 17th century and Dance a GoGo is letting you know, they're IN in 2009 too!

Dance a GoGo Rocks Shades In The Sun

Spring is just around the corner, actually it's in a week, and Dance a GoGo is prepared for those sunny spotlight rays.

You've probably noticed most of the fashionistas walking around with sunglasses that look like they're from another planet. Hands down, all styles of shades are in. From Ray Bans to Aviators to bubble gum colored, heart-shaped sunglasses... you name it, they're everywhere.

Spend $5 or $500, you can find the right pair of shades that are suited just for you. Pull a pair of tiny Lennon/Yoko Ono specs, some large Audrey Hepburn starlet celebrity protectors, or a pair of some multi-colored plastic sunglasses... they're all in style right now so do not fear!

So hop on over to your local flea market or if designer brands are your shopping path, then why not pop on over to Chanel, just find your desired shades.

Funk up your sunglasses this spring with Dance a GoGo!

Dance a GoGo's Self-Made Smoothies

In these sour economical times, Dance a GoGo is finding ways to save money and still have the luxuries of tasty sweets.

You may be familiar with the ever so popular smoothie chain, Jamba Juice... well even a small size smoothy at Jamba can cost you up to 5 or 6 bucks. That's a no can do when you're trying to save on the little things.

So, why not make your own delicious blends of fruits. First, you can save and invest in a blender (believe us, it will take you far in the kitchen!)

Then, head on over to your local market, or if you live in a city like New York, you can hop on down to the corner fruit and vegetable stand. Pile up on your favorite fruits and veggies. Find yourself a deal.

Now you're standing in front of your blender and you have your fruit choices. Maybe it's banana, blueberry, and strawberries.... just cut them up (or leave them whole) and blend away.

If you want to spice it up, you can add a hint of peanut butter with banana. Oh yeah, don't forget the ice to get that smoothie quality!

You can make your own health shakes and not have to worry about following a menu. Choose your own fruity combinations. Your shakes will make for a great snack and even a scrumptious breakfast, and you'll feel full.

So self-blend your fruits and save up!

Dance a GoGo Wraps The Scarf Trend

The Dance a GoGo ladies are wrapping another style trend to keep them funky and always comfortable.

Scarves are in, no doubt about it. You see them on the red carpet, in the dance studio, at the local bar... well, you see them just about everywhere.

The most popular scarf today is the 'tablecloth' scarf. You've probably seen them in all colors: pink, purple, blue, green. Both men and women are sporting them, hipster style.

It's that time of year where it could be cold one day and warm the next... The scarf makes for a perfect neck accessory when it's sunny with a chilly hint in the air. They're light enough to not break into a sweat and large enough to wrap around you in the cool night.

I'm gathering my own scarf collection and I wear them everyday, a different color to go with a different outfit.

You'll see all of the hip-hop artists and celebrities sportin' their scarves, everyone from Justin Timberlake to Jessica Alba. So roll with the Dance a GoGo hotties and wrap a scarf of your choice around your neck today! Buy them vintage or designer, it's up to you...

Dance a GoGo's Lady Gaga Inspiration

The Dance a GoGo hotties are inspired by the unique and ultimate dancing queen of the pop charts, Lady Gaga.

Yes, Lady Gaga. She's everywhere... performing with her 'madonna-esque' microphone and strutting her wild style, comprised of shiny electric spandex, 80's shoulder pads, and futuristic sunglasses. What a Gaga gal!

Lady Gaga represents a true Dance a GoGo woman with her artistic revolutions, positive vibe, and her hip and original style.

Her newest funk hit, "Just Dance" is shakin' up the party scenes, from nightclubs to dance studios. It's one of those songs you can just 'let go' to. Lift up your arms, spin around, shake your head about, swish your hips... it's whatever you like when you're dancing to "Just Dance".

Lady Gaga is new and different... and she OWNS it. She owns who she is and that's what we admire here at Dance a GoGo. Use your energy and your spirit to show the world what you have to offer.

Be confident. Be you... and Dance a GoGo your body to Lady Gaga's "Just Dance"!

Dance a GoGo Rocks Bling Bling

Dance a GoGo caters to the ladies, the women of the world, and women love many things... especially jewelry.

There's a new funky way to rock your bling bling and it's not in a discrete way. No, we want you to layer your jewels.

It's time to mix and match. You'll see the hip crowd of women sporting several rings on their fingers and multiple bracelets. You can even wear two different kinds of earrings and rock it!

Let's start with 'rings'. It's best to shop at your local flea markets and vintage stores, even hit the 'grab bags' for those old-fashioned treasures. You can find the best styles of rings. Once you have your collection, don't just wear one, wear them all! Bling all of your fingers with a thumb, index, middle, ring, and pinky ring.

As far as earrings go, well you can make it your own. Choose one long dangling earring and a stud for the other ear. We can't explain it, it just looks fabulous.

We always try to follow the rule of not mixing gold and silver, but in this case, forget about it! Show your jewels off!

A lot of celebrities are wearing multiple watches on their wrists. From Rolex's to vintage bands, it doesn't matter if they're still ticking, it's a new way to style and dress your wrists.

For a while now, ladies have been layering their necklaces. Some women like to do a choker with a long chain, try it. You can even make your own necklaces by putting some rings on your chains.

Wear as much as you like and you'll feel comfortable and fabulous. Your friends will certainly notice the sparkle coming from you! If you don't want to wear too much jewelry, then keep it classic with some nice rings and a bracelet, or just a pair of mix and match earrings. Either way, you'll be funky.

This is a jewelry revolution and Dance a GoGo urges you to bling yourself out because you deserve to look like a jewel! So layer your sparkling collections the next time you're out on the town!

Dance a GoGo Refreshes with OJ

Good morning all you Dance a GoGo Hotties!

So, it's post-Valentine's Day, and we're sure  you had your fair share of chocolate goodies and glasses of red wine to celebrate the close-to-your-heart holiday.

You may be feeling the after-effects of your candy binge and waking up with that not so refreshing feeling. So we're here to remind you how to start your day off refreshed, without all those groggy junk food-filled feelings!

Many of you ladies out there go without breakfast because you're always on the run... not a good idea. Your mind and body won't be able to run at its best speed without some nourishment.

Easy, pour yourself a glass of Vitamin C, yes, orange juice. A glass of orangey goodness will kick start your energy. With that, add a bowl of healthy grain cereal with some low fat milk. If you're out of groceries, then pick up a piece of fruit.

When you're on the run you can bring a bottle of OJ with you, there are all kinds out there: Odwalla, Naked, Tropicana, you name it. Just make sure you don't go without it. You'd be surprised how far a glass of orange juice gets you in the day.

I like to add an ice cube to my glass of orange juice so I get that ice-cold refreshing feeling for my taste buds and I'm off to run my errands and get my work done!

So kick out your candy quench and kick start your day with an old-fashioned glass of orange juice. You'll be supplying yourself with vitamins and nutritious energy!

Dance a GoGo's CowGirl Get-Up

As the Dance a GoGo Hottie blogger, I always try to keep that funk in my step. Translation, I try to sport the most comfortable and stylish shoe, that way my feet are happy and so are the fashionista judges.

After years and years of wearing  high-heeled stilettos, the Dance a GoGo Hotties would like to introduce an old-fashioned, yet new-fashioned shoe: The Cowgirl boot

Yes, the cowgirl boot has been around since the old-time days of the Wild Wild West, but they've made they're comeback in the 21st century.

As I write this, I'm currently wearing my grey cowgirl boots with turquoise lining. These boots have been around the world: walked miles upon miles in New York City, trucked along the beach, and danced in the nightclub, they've even supported me for hours at a time while standing around chit-chatting at the local jazz lounge. It doesn't matter what outfit I have on, my cowgirl boots match.

They come in all colors, patterns, and prices. From Bloomingdales to Goodwill, you can find your perfectly priced and funktificious pair of cowgirl boots.

I suggest the medium-height heel, because it's not too high or too low, just high enough to give you a little height in your step and low enough to keep you dancing all night long.

So stay comfortable today and treat yourself to the best shoe purchase you've ever made... Buy yourself a pair of fabulous cowgirl boots and turn that square-dance inside out and brush your shoulders off hip-hop Dance a GoGo style.

Yee-Haw!

Dance a GoGo Savors Apples

No, we're not talking about the Apple MAC sensation of technology, we're talking about that famous piece of fruit.

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away."

The Dance a GoGo hotties keep the doctor away every day by biting into an apple at snack time.

It can be juicy red or vibrant green, an apple is an apple and it can store all of those nutrients you need and give you a hint of something sweet.

Apples have no fat, cholesterol, or sodium. Without taking vitamins every day, you can give yourself a small amount of potassium, help your blood pressure levels, and even help your weight.

Apples have something called 'Flavanoids' in them. It's a fun word to say right? Flavanoid. Well, these flavanoids are defensive phytochemicals which scientific studies show to have antiviral, antiallergic, antiinflammatory, antitumor, and antioxidant activities. So, when you eat an apple a day, you're helping yourself in more ways than one.

The simple apple is not so simple, it provides you with numerous nutrients and is a great substitute for those vending machine snacks.

If you want to spice up your apple diet, you can mix the apples up with different recipes. Try slicing an apple and sprinkling the bits on a salad to add that necessary crunch. If you're feeling naughty, you can dip your apple slices into sweet jams or nutella, and peanut butter. Hey, with the peanut butter protein and nutrient filled apple, you'll be doing your taste buds and body a huge favor!

There's a reason why Snow White bit into that apple, she thought she was making a healthy choice in her day. So putting poisonous apples from evil queens aside, join the apple craze and eat an apple a day with the Dance a GoGo Hotties!

Dance a GoGo Sports the Fedora

It's a rainy day here in Los Angeles and the Dance a GoGo hotties have a way of protecting themselves from the raindrops and still remaining stylish.

We sport the FEDORA hat.

Yes, this stylish hat has been the hipster accessory for a while now and we dig it. It goes with every outfit and always adds a hint of funk and sophistication, whether you're wearing a bikini, work-out clothes, or a dress.

Celebrities, Fashionistas, and Dance a GoGo hotties wear the fedora and now we want you to.

Whether you're out at the club or taking a stroll, the fedora keeps you classy and in style.

If you're really into the fedora you can collect an entire closet of them. They come in all styles and colors, sometimes they even have a feather through the rim. Stripes, polka-dots, houndstooth, you name it, choose your pattern preference. Make your fedora your own and add some flare with pins and personal designs.

If you're looking for ways to wear your fedora in a unique way: Put your hair up and sport it 'boy' style, or braid your hair on one side and tilt the fedora just a tad. As long as you have your fedora you'll be looking rad.

You can purchase your fedora at a vintage boutique or hop on over to a store like H&M, they have plenty of choices at affordable prices.

So come on now, sport the fedora with the Dance a GoGo hotties.

Dance a GoGo Substitutes Caffeine

Dance a GoGo wants to keep you in the best shape possible. This means... keep a healthy diet, work-out, and stay away from the number one addiction in the U.S.

Coffee. Yes, we know it's a morning regular and you'd be willing to stand in line at your local coffee joint for that one cup of steaming energy. But the truth is, that energy is far from natural and eventually it fades, leaving your day in a slump and your mind with a headache.

We propose a cup of tea, preferably non-caffeinated. It's good for the soul and healthy for the body. When you drink tea you're not stuck with that coffee breath. You have choices of flavors: from English Breakfast to Berry Sensation.

The herbal teas can prevent sickness and ease your mind. Another up-side is... tea is usually $2 cheaper than your average mocha latte. So, you'll be preserving in more ways than one. You can even spice your tea up a little bit with a mint clove or a cinnamon stick, that way you have the sweetness your taste buds deserve.

The Dance a GoGo hotties enjoy staying warm in the winter weather and healthy all year round. How do we do that? We substitute coffee for tea and our days are caffeine free and charged with organic energy.

Dance a GoGo Digs Leather

The Dance a GoGo Hotties always have to stay warm when they're not working it out on the dance floor. During these odd seasons, when the temperature suffers from A.D.D. (One day it's 60 degrees and the next it's 45 degrees) we have to find ways to stay stylish and comfortable.

The leather jacket. Hip, cozy, and it matches everything.

Whether you're hoppin' down to the club or meeting your friend for a Sunday brunch, the leather jacket is sure to keep you looking hot and cool.

Ladies, I think you'll know what I'm talking about when I mention those nights out... when you're dancing with your friends and all you want to do is be 'hands free'; no coats or purses. Well, with the perfect leather jacket you can dance with it on. You'll look snazzy and still have all of your belongings in all of the compartment pockets. No need to be troubled with a hand full of cloth while you're hip-hoppin' it.

So if you're looking to purchase a leather jacket anytime soon, head down to your local vintage/thrift store to save a couple of bucks, or spend big at a leather specialty boutique.

Either way, join the Dance a GoGo hotties and slip your leather jacket on because we'll surely be sporting them everyday of the week!

Dance a GoGo Diet Thoughts

The Dance a GoGo hotties are here to spread the word on how to keep your mind, body, and soul in tip-top shape. We understand that in every woman's day to day life there are many temptations that may not be the best choice for your health... So we're here to give you some diet knowledge for you to keep in mind, wherever you are.

Diet Thought #1: Hydrate... with water that is. Always keep a bottle of water with you to nurse on throughout the day and  your body will stay rejuvenated, and your skin clear.

Diet Thought #2: Mini-meals... a number of small healthy meals spaced out during the day will keep your hunger quenched and your metabolism running.

Diet Thought #3: Get physical... if you can give your body a workout a day, you'll be doing yourself a favor. Park the car and walk a couple more blocks, take a yoga class, or turn on that Dance a GoGo DVD and workout while you're cooking up a delicious and health-conscious cuisine.

Diet Thought #4: Substitute... if you're craving some french fries, well cut the fried food and exchange the fries for a cup of carrots, or a juicy apple. You'll feel better all around and satisfy your snack cravings.

Diet Thought #5: Attitude... the more positive you are about tending to your health, the more energy you will have. Pep talk yourself into a healthier life style. When you're pumped and confident, that's when your body is ready to work out and stay fit!

Stick with the Dance a GoGo hottie's regimen and you'll find a smile on your face more often than not and a body that you'll be proud of!
